We are seeking an experienced and reliable Cook to join our growing team at The Filipino Street Food Pty Ltd.

In this role, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of dishes in accordance with established recipes, while ensuring high standards of food quality, presentation, and consistency. You will support daily kitchen operations, assist with menu development, and help maintain a clean, safe, and efficient kitchen environment.

The position also involves coordinating food preparation during busy service periods, monitoring stock levels, and supporting junior kitchen staff as required.

Task & responsibilities

• Prepare and cook a range of dishes in accordance with menu requirements 
• Ensure consistency in food quality, presentation, and portion control 
• Assist in menu planning and development in collaboration with management 
• Monitor food quality at all stages of preparation and service 
• Supervise and support junior kitchen staff during food preparation 
• Coordinate kitchen workflow during busy service periods 
• Assist with stock control, ordering, and inventory management 
• Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards 
• Maintain a clean and organised kitchen environment 

Qualification & experience

• Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Cook 
• Strong knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards 
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment 
• Experience supporting kitchen operations and supervising staff
